Our Grant Process

We're excited to partner with organizations that share our passion for creating a more equitable and sustainable world. Our process is designed to find and support initiatives that generate meaningful, lasting impact.

Eligibility

We are dedicated to funding nonprofit organizations in the U.S. that support efforts in the United States, Sri Lanka, and India, all of which must align with our core funding priorities. Your organization should be able to demonstrate measurable outcomes in its mission to increase equitable access to support for underserved populations.

To be eligible, grantees must be 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organizations and be described in IRS section 509(a)(2) or, in certain cases, 509(a)(3).

Review Our Priorities

What We Don't Fund

We focus our resources on specific areas to maximize our impact. We are unable to provide funding for the following:

  • Scholarships or direct financial awards to individuals.
  • Sectarian activities for religious organizations.
  • Political causes, candidates, organizations, or campaigns.
  • Sponsorship of events, conferences, or meetings.
  • Organizations that discriminate based on age, race, nationality, ethnicity, religion, cultural beliefs, disability, or sex.
  • Disease-specific initiatives and/or medical research.

Submission & Review Schedule

To streamline our process and ensure a thorough review, our grant periods are divided into two distinct cycles: one for people-focused initiatives and another for animal-focused ones.

This cycle concentrates on our mission areas of poverty alleviation, youth education, and improving health outcomes.

Final Report

A final report is a crucial part of our partnership. It allows us to measure the success of the goals outlined in the original grant proposal. This report must be submitted no more than 60 days after the end of the grant period and is required before a new application is reviewed.
